All works were hand-made from up-cycled boat seats and scrap metal, sourced from factories across the West Midlands. Birch employed a mixture of industrial and domestic techniques to hand stitch the garments with wire and thread.The labour intensive nature of the work reflects the sweat and graft of factory life, returning the “work-wear” to its respective environment.
